Charles Alexander Distribution are big believers in the good a business can do in the local community. Our founders and the majority of our staff are from the Leicestershire area, so it’s a location that is close to the heart of the company. We have, and are, supporting a number of local and national charities through the fantastic medium of promotional products.
One of the sectors that gets the most out of promotional products is not-for-profit organisations and charities. One of the greatest things about being in this industry is being able to provide these important parts of fundraising and awareness to these well-deserving charities.
We run a monthly ‘Charity of the Month’ scheme, where our sales team pitches for one of their customers to be offered a number of free products that month. Offering the team to vouch for one of their customers is something that the sales staff have really engaged with.
Unfortunately it’s not possible to support all of their causes. However, as a business we do as much as possible to make a contribution to these hard-working and worthy causes as possible. We also have official partnerships with two local charities, the Bodie Hodges Foundation and GEM106’s Cash for Kids.
The following explains more about those two official charities. We have also listed just a small number of groups who have received donations due to the ‘Charity of the Month’ scheme.
The Bodie Hodges Foundation
The Leicester-based charity was created after 10-month old Bodie sadly passed away five years ago. Bodie was an organ donor; his donations saved the lives of four other babies. Bodie’s parents, Nick and Donna Hodges, set up the charity in memory of their son.

Cash for Kids
Cash for Kids provides vital funding to support young people who may be subject to neglect or abuse, living in poverty or coping with illness or a disability. All the money raised by the charity stays within the East Midlands, to make a real difference to local communities.
